The Pittsburgh Steelers face off with the Indianapolis Colts Sunday in a week 16 battle of playoff hopefuls in NFL action at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
The Indianapolis Colts look for a statement win to build on their three-game winning streak. The Indianapolis Colts have won four straight road games. Philip Rivers is completing 68.7 percent of his passes for 3,735 yards, 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Rivers has two or more touchdown passes in seven of his last nine games. TY Hilton and Zach Pascal have combined for 1,199 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while Michael Pittman Jr. has 35 receptions. The Indianapolis Colts ground game is averaging 114 yards per contest, and Jonathan Taylor leads the way with 842 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Indianapolis is allowing 22.9 points and 334.1 yards per game. Darius Leonard leads the Indianapolis Colts with 109 tackles, Justin Houston has 7.5 sacks and Kenny Moore II has four interceptions.
The Pittsburgh Steelers need a victory here to snap a three-game losing streak. The Pittsburgh Steelers have won six of their last seven home games. Ben Roethlisberger is completing 65.3 percent of his passes for 3,462 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Roethlisberger has two or more touchdown passes in seven of his last nine games. Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool have combined for 1,471 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns while JuJu Smith-Schuster has 82 receptions. The Pittsburgh Steelers ground game is averaging 88.9 yards per contest, and James Conner leads the way with 663 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Pittsburgh is allowing 18.9 points and 297.9 yards per game. Minkah Fitzpatrick leads the Pittsburgh Steelers with 66 tackles, TJ Watt has 13 sacks and Steven Nelson has two interceptions.
The Colts are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 15-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Steelers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. AFC and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The over is 7-3 in Colts last 10 games overall. The under is 5-1-1 in Steelers last 7 games overall. The Colts are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Pittsburgh and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
The Indianapolis Colts have played some of their best football on the road this season and have the defense to give a struggling Steelers offense even more fits. The Pittsburgh Steelers went from being 11-0 on the season to losing three straight games, two of those contests coming against losing clubs. Based on the current form of these teams, the Colts should be favored. However, this line has moved a ton since coming out, and we're now getting the Steelers as a home dog. While they're struggling now and not as good as their record indicates, the Steelers have lost just two home games since October 13 of last year. The Pittsburgh Steelers are still very well coached and have the talent to turn things around. I'll take the home dog in this spot, fading the betting public.
